Day sail / evening dinner - all welcome

Day sail / evening dinner - all welcome
Sat 29th Sep 2018

The final muster of the cruising group will take the form of a day sail (weather permitting) on Saturday 29th September followed by dinner in the clubhouse - 6.30 for 7pm. So even if you don’t want to sail, you can always just come along for the meal. Please contact Avril ( 670022) by Wednesday to book your meal and discuss any dietary requirements. This will be a two course meal for £14.
Those of us going on the water should meet in the clubhouse at 9.30 am to decide what we want to do.
Hope to see you soon

Weekend cruise in company - 1st-2nd September - Destination Portavadie

Weekend cruise in company - 1st-2nd September - Destination Portavadie
Sat 1st Sep 2018 to Sun 2nd Sep 2018

Following the very enjoyable weekend cruise in company to Holy Loch in early August, with 8 boats participating, the next c-in-c is "Destination Portavadie".

Portavadie will provide us with a good sail out, relaxing time in the spa for those thus inclined, and a group dinner in the Lodge to socialise and swap stories and experiences in the evening. Colin and Sue Brook (Inclination) will lead the group starting with a pre cruise briefing in the clubhouse on Saturday 1st September at 9.30 am*. This is the penultimate Cruise in Company for this season so let’s make it a great one!

Please register on if you want to join us.

Looks forward to the major RYA Youth Championships, with the best young sailors in the UK competing. And a Royal visitor!

Sail training information and enrolment evening

Sail training information and enrolment evening
Thu 15th Mar 2018

The clubhouse was busy at the LSTA's information evening, with returning cadets, new cadets, and parents hearing of the season's plans from Johnathan Briggs, then Bill Forsyth about clothing and other practicalities. Courses start on Monday 23rd April. For more information, and to book junior and adult courses, see here.

New for 2018 is a new race group called the “Largs Development Squad”. This will be for dedicated race training with the goal of making the kids more competitive in races. We only have 12 places for this squad and to get it you must own your own Topper, Oppie or Laser.
