There was a full clubhouse for the enrolment evening for this season's learn to sail (or improve your sailing) courses, running from 24th April, through to September, by the Largs Sail Training Association (LSTA), for all ages, eight and upwards. There are still a few places available - contact the club on 01475 670337, or email@example.com.
The LSTA has a large fleet of training boats, and volunteer instructors, teaching to RYA qualifications. Full details on the training page of this web site. Adults joining the training can offset their fees against their first year's membership of Largs SC.

Largs Regatta Week, our major event, was blessed with the best sailing conditions for many years - and some of the best in this rather mixed "summer"! Cumbraes Weekend had round the cans racing for dinghies, cats and keelboats on Saturday, followed by Sunday's Round Cumbraes, both in sunshine, and relatively steady wind conditions. The week continued with the Midweek Series, and the Two Handed races around Arran, or Holy Isle. See www.LargsRegattaWeek.co.ukfor full results.

Scottish Night - 7.00 pm for the piping in of the haggis at 7.30
Sat 25th Feb 2017
A relaxed evening with Scottish-themed food and inhouse entertainment provided by club stalwarts. Starting with a nod to Burns, the haggis will be piped in by Mr Bob Randall and addressed by Mr George Hutchinson. Our MC Bob Byers will then introduce a surprising array of talent from your own club membership, with music, singing, and recital already promised during an excellent meal. Booking essential for this popular event.
The entertainers list is now pretty full, but if anyone has a burning desire to do a turn, especially younger members - contact Marilyn Lord, firstname.lastname@example.org, 01294 829286.
