The RYA Honda RIB challenge is a national powerboat driving competition for kids aged 8 - 16 run by the RYA and sponsored by Honda, with the chance to win a RIB and engine for your club.
The LSTA will run a training day for this years competition on Sunday 10th of May with one hour slots available to book. Places for the training day are limited to ensure that each participant gets significant RIB driving time. Each cadet should get a minimum of 20 minutes of driving tuition with a powerboat instructor. The training day is open to all cadet junior members of LSC, whether or not they have ever driven a RIB before.
A test news article for the front page The Club organises a range of activities for all ages and abilities, from the teaching of beginners by the LSTA to hosting large national and world championship events. We also run regular racing for dinghies and keelboats. Our active cruising section (sail and power) organises cruises in company around the Clyde and the west of Scotland, and holds regular talks and skills workshops.
