Sunday was this year's celebration of the world's largest sailing event, Bart's Bash, in memory of the tragic death of Olympic gold medallist Andrew "Bart" Simpson in training for the 2013 America's Cup. Last year's first event had 30,734 sailors in 60 countries sailing over 50,000 miles, The target for this year is to have the biggest sporting event, so both of our sunday races were entered. We were supported in spirit by Mark Andrews, one of Largs SC's most successful sailors - former Finn World Junior champion, long time training partner of Ben Ainslie, and a friend of Bart's. A great day with over 50 dinghies racing and over 80 Junior sailors on the water - great thanks to John and Johnathans leadership. What a contrast to yesterday. Well done everyone involved in organising and running. See our Facebook page link below for some great photos of the day.
