It was the intention that this cruise would take in popular destinations such as Gigha, Port Ellen, Crinan Canal and more, but unfortunately no-one has volunteered to lead this, so this will no longer be a calendared event for this year. However, several Largs SC boats are likely still to be around and about over this period, so keep in touch via the cruising group e-mail circulation list, and meet up informally.
The planned destination is Loch Riddon, anchoring in the north west corner, just east of the moorings, with a BBQ ashore in the evening. There is plenty of room in this area, with good holding in 9-12m (don't go too far north - the loch dries out for a LONG way!), and Riddon is safe in anything but a strong southerly.
This will be reviewed at our normal Saturday morning meeting - meet in the clubhouse main lounge at 0930 Saturday 13th August, please.
