Largs Sailing Club is one of the major championship sailing clubs in the UK, hosting National and World Championships for a range of different classes.
We had a very busy 2019, with 122 Lasers and 234 Toppers in two consecutive weeks, late July and early August, for their UK Nationals, then Largs Regatta Weekend at the end of August. The Musto Skiff UK Nationals in early September concluded with 36 entries. The “Events” season rounded off with the RYAS Winters on December 07 2019 with 63 entries.
Unfortunately the 2020 D-Zero National Championships 26th-28th June, the Optimist National Championships, 1st-7th August were cancelled due to the COVID-19 restrictions. A scaled back Club Regatta at the end of August has been possible - http://www.largssc.co.uk/node/577
Plans for 2021 are now firming up with the One Design Regatta Weekend in June, followed by the UK 29er Nationals end of July, then D-Zero UK Nationals in the 3rd week of August, the LRF Weekend returning at the end of August 2021, and a 707 Class Weekend in October.
We also look forward to welcoming the Optimists back for their UK National Championships from Sat 30 July to Fri 5 August 2022
