Hi All,
This weekend is down as a special race ( i.e "one-off")and John Bassett and I are race officers.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN WE GET OUT ON THE WATER
I think Martin Faulkner is trying to organise the Race Training guys to join in which would increase numbers.
We were thinking of doing one short race (up n down or Triangle) and then a longer pursuit race around the cans - John is happy to work out the times and starting sequences. (IS THIS WHAT PEOPLE WOULD LIKE - FOR A CHANGE?)
Martin F is doing a rib duty which means three of the regular sailors won't be on the water racing. If there is anyone else who could help with Rib duties that wouldn't reduce the number of boats on the water that'd be great.
ALSO - if anyone can chase up mates and kids to get out on the water that would be great.
See you on Sunday.

(ps this is lifted off my message on YAHOO groups so you may have read it already.)

Well the turnout wasn't great which was a shame. However the few that did turn out got great sailing in up to 8kts and sometimes more - Just proves its worth turning up even when the forecast doesn't look great. ........ where was everybody?
Jon, Dave, Martin F and myself laid on a quick series of two trianglular races - 2 laps each followed by a quick windward leeward race two laps. Thanks to Dave and MF for all the mark lifting and relaying to get some very decent courses. Seemed like fun and I think those on the water enjoyed it.
Hopefully there'll be more boats out for the start of the next series. The club also need volunteers for nearly all the race duties for the remainder of the racing series. - see the Duty Man Rota on the website. How about everyone who has raced this year just putting themsleves down for one more duty. It's not fair to leave it all to the likes of Ewan, Martin F and Dave Kent.
See you at Largs SC
